About Hisab-Kitab

A free, no-login collection of calculators built for the everyday arithmetic of Indian personal finance.

Hisab-Kitab started from a simple observation: most of the financial questions Indians ask every day — what will my EMI be, how much will my SIP grow to, how much tax will I actually pay — have precise, calculable answers, but the tools to get those answers are often buried behind ads, sign-up walls, or unnecessarily complicated interfaces.

So we built a single place with straightforward calculators for loans, investments, tax, salary and everyday math — each one on its own page, each one free, with no account required and no data stored on our servers.

What we're not

We're not a financial advisory service, a bank, a mutual fund distributor, or a tax consultancy. Every number this site produces is an estimate for planning purposes, built on the formulas and rules publicly available at the time of writing. Always verify important decisions — a loan, an investment, a tax filing — with the relevant institution or a qualified professional.

How the calculators are built

Every calculation runs entirely in your browser using standard, publicly documented formulas (EMI amortisation, compound interest, the current income tax slabs, and so on). Nothing you type into a calculator is sent to a server — the arithmetic happens locally on your device.
